We always buy shirts, blouses, polo shirts in M&S and they are superb for trousers and skirts too. Our kids are very adventurous and the only uniforms they've never ruined are the M&S ones.

They are very hard wearing and last at least a full school year and in many cases two years because of the let down hems.

Great quality and they often have offers on, so watch out for those!

You can order online and pick up in store if you want the kids to try on there. Easy peasy!!

And because we love these uniforms so much, we've got a €100 voucher up for grabs!! Simply tell us 'what is your favourite thing about M&S school uniforms?' to be in with a chance to win!

I also just found yesterday that they do a special range for kids who have sensory issues or difficulties managing buttons etc. For example elasticated waste trousers with no button for up to age 16. It's called their easy dressing range I think and was developed with autistic society in UK I think but is available online here. I ordered something yesterday. Fair play to m & s, a life saver for many kids I'd imagine.

M&S RULE BACK TO SCHOOL
Uniform That Works Hard and Plays Hard
The summer holidays are upon us which means a new school year is just around the corner. Don’t panic! Marks & Spencer has everything you need to ensure the uniform shop is stress free, leaving you time to enjoy the summer and spend it having fun.

M&S is your one stop shop for school uniforms in a variety of colours and styles that works hard and plays hard, with trademark innovations that parents can really rely on.

Children put their school kit through its paces every day, so we work hard to make sure they're kitted out in uniform that's durable, smart and a doddle to wash and iron. Our time and stress-saving innovations include stain and water-resistant fabrics and clever Stay New technology.

Available now in stores and online at www.marksandspencer.ie

Playground Proof Trousers & Shorts
Part of the Skin Kind™ range, our school trousers avoid rough seams and labels, making them perfect for sensitive skin. Our adjust-a-hem gives an extra 3cm room for growth and our Supercrease™ technology ensures a permanent crisp smart crease.

Stain-Resist Shirts for Messy Days

I love that about them allyj. When kids are starting school, magaing buttons by themselves is hard and most 5 years olds cannot do it so I love the velcro at the top button of the shirts and blouses, so if the child wants to open the collar, they don't need to unbutton it.

And the velcro cuffs are brill too - encourages kids to be able to dress themselves.

For my son, who is constantly growing, the let down hem on the trousers is a real money saver too.

Its a brilliant range, our favourite one for sure and lasts better than any other we've ever bought

Me too!! Always stock up in May/June. I used to think women shopping for back to school, before school was over for summer, were a bit mad but now I am very happily one of them!!!

We've got to stagger these costs....

Ive bought from other shops because it was cheaper but they never last or wash as well as the M&S uniforms, so now I just go to M&S.

it works out better value cos the uniforms last longer and you can even pass down from one child to another.

and i like the extra things like elastic wrists and velcro buttons. they really clever

Stain resistant and non-iron!! Keeps their shape. The white polos are still white at the end of the year.

My favourite thing about m and s uniforms, well there's lots, stain resistant, non iron and after collecting 2 pairs of trousers in store yesterday my new favourite thing is their fab range of easy dressing clothes with kids on the spectrum or with motor or sensory issues in mind. No button to negotiate, no zip to catch any bits that might be sticking out, ha ha and the label is in the pocket so no more "this tag is sticking into me mammy". Well done m and s on this range, my little man gave them the thumbs up and you are dealing with one fussy customer!

After browsing their website, I have to say I'm very impressed with M&S school uniforms. Non-iron has to be the stand out feature, what mum has hours to spend ironing every day. I like the addition of clever features like adjustable cuffs and there is a great range of colours too. The fact that they last after several washes is a real bonus. I have memories of myself and my 3 sisters going through many many uniforms of poor quality and my poor mother was constantly having to buy new ones. Some families might like to be able to pass the uniforms down through the family to save on money. Fair play to M&S!
