My friend had to do this to get her children in to their local school and while she is not at all religious, the priest at the school is very involved and he expects to see the children and families at mass regularly and if he doesn't, he makes it clear he is not happy about it
When I hear of all the families who are not Catholic and are having their children christened just so they can apply to a certain school, I think the country has gone mad!!!
Should religion have anything to do with education?
