We attended the Miscarriage Association's remembrance service in Dublin on Sunday afternoon. It is a non-denominational service that anyone, any religion, can attend to remember their baby/babies that they lost to miscarriage.

During the service, parents are invited to carry a candle for each baby they lost and place it on the altar, it is so poignant to see all the candles flickering away on the altar, as a reminder of all the babies who were lost too soon.

As parents went back to their seats after leaving their candle, we were given a Newbridge Silverware Christmas decoration and this year, it was a Silver Dove. The Dove is a symbol of hope, love and motherhood and it is just so beautiful. Sad but also, very nice to have this decoration to hang on the Christmas tree to honour and remember our babies.
