Hi Everyone

I have lost two babies through pregnancy loss in the past two years.
I am looking to join a group for women who have experienced something similar around Ireland, but I can not seem to find any.
Or a face book page for Irish mums.

would anyone know if there is any?

thanks

hi mammy2angels, I am so sorry for your losses. We lost 2 babies too, our second and fifth pregnancies and it was so hard to go through.

Do you have any other children? How far along were you? did the hospital and your GP offer any explanations or recommend any tests?

I found Miscarriage Association absolutely brilliant, they are so so helpful. Everyone who works there has been through at least one pregnancy loss so they really do understand what its like. The hospital should have given you a leaflet on MAI after your miscarriages - did they? They did not give me one but they did offer a counselling service which I went to and that's how I found out about MAI. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they were amazing.

They have support on www.miscarriage.ie and there is a support helpline you can call and also, a monthly support meet up in Buswells Hotel in Dublin.

How are you feeling now? Are you trying again?

After our second miscarriage my hormones were all over the place and I was having my period every 2 weeks, so I went for reflexology with Lisa Heeney in Drogheda and Acupuncture with Mark Bell in Drogheda and that really helped. I think Mark Bell's treatments made a big difference because after a few weeks of seeing him, my cycle returned to normal and I was able to get pregnant again and keep the pregnancy.

If you have any questions on anything at all about miscarriage, please ask on here, there is lots of support for you here.
