We recently came across Baby Box Ireland after a Mumstown mum was raving about them at a coffee morning we were hosting a few weeks ago.

We thought it sounded interesting and had a look at http://www.babyboxireland.ie and decided to get in touch to organise a feature on Mumstown to let all the mums-to-be on here know about it.

Baby Box is a very simple and safe way for newborns to sleep. There is no frills or bunting or bumpers or anything like that, rather, it is a simple box that makes sure baby is sleeping in a very safe environment. Babies do not need fancy bedding and elaborate cots with bumpers. Yes, they look gorgeous in the shop but when it comes to newborns, safety is far more important than how things look.

We asked one of our mums-to-be to take a Baby Box to try it out for when her little one arrived. Soon after, her baby arrived and she was so happy to try it out for us. Here is what she said:

'In my family, we had a cot death many years ago and this is something that was always talked about when one of us was pregnant so that we made sure to buy products for new babies that are safe. I know that its really important not to re-use a mattress and pass it from one baby to another because fungus can grow inside a mattress over time and this can be dangerous and toxic for babies, so our plan to was buy a small plain cot with a new EU approved mattress.

But then we saw the Baby Box at a baby fair and thought it looked really interesting and we decided to get one of these. When Siobhan from Mumstown asked us to try it out for Mumstown to let other mums know what we think of it, we were delighted. This is our first baby and we were happy that we could get it for a review! So, here is what we think.

It is really really clever. It is the most simple way to sleep our baby. It is not showy or flashy but she does not need any frills or fancy bedding. She simply needs to be safe and to sleep well and this is the perfect way for her to do that in the first few months of her life. Thanks so much for asking us to try this product, we highly recommend it and also, it is so much cheaper than fancy moses baskets but it does the exact same job - in fact, we think its probably safer because there is less material and fuss in the Baby Box.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this to any new parents. It is excellent and we will be recommending it to all our pregnant friends.

Thanks again Mumstown and thanks to Grace from Baby Box, when we emailed her with questions she was super helpful. Just the kind of person a new parents needs to deal with!' :)

You can read all about Baby Box at
http://www.babyboxireland.ie and you can contact Grace with any questions at 045252498|grace@babyboxireland.ie

Definitely worth a look gals, we think this is gonna be a huge hit with Irish parents!!
