Has anyone got any hayfever tips?

My son gets it each year and he is starting to suffer quite badly. We are giving him Cetriz or Piriton and local honey but if anyone has other ideas please share! All suggestions welcome

He gets so ratty when he feels this way and I honestly cannot blame him, it looks awful. I feel so bad for anyone who suffers with it.

Thanks for any tips

I suffer badly with it to so I feel your sons pain. I find that all antihistamines make me drowsy so I take it when I am going to bed but last summer I didn't take any at all all because I bought a Hay Band in a chemist- heres some info on it

Helps relieve the symptoms of Hay Fever and Headache pain.
Welcome to a revolution in hayfever prevention! The beauty of the Hayband is that it can be used by anyone, even children. It is completely natural, drug free and has no side effects.Hay Band has been developed by leading acupuncturists. This unique product exerts a small amount of pressure on the arm at a point where energy can be pulled away from the head and has had known effects on the immune system to help other causes such as headaches, runny noses and dry eyes.

You wear it on your elbow, it worked for me so I hope your son has success with it too.it only costs around 10 euro so at least you wont have broken the bank if it doesn't work for him- it could be worth a shot

The hayband is definitely helping our son. He suffers really really badly with hayfever - he could be awake half the night with it but this has really helped him symptoms.

we actually got him 2 of them - one on each arm and its doing him the world of good.

His symptoms are not fully gone but they are much more manageable and if he is really bad he can do the 5 pushes on the acupressure point and this helps too.

we would recommend it.

My son was suffering really bad in May and most of June. Strangely, does not appear to be affecting him this month. I tried the Pirition and did not find it any good. Switched to Zirteck and a boots product that you blast up the nose. It apparently blocks the pollen from getting up.

Anyhow, seems to have recovered almost completely this month. There are apparently different types of pollens and they hit in different months.
