First exercise of 2017....feeling the pain today!!!

After 8 weeks of recovery from knee surgery, I got the all clear from the surgeon this week so start weaning off the crutches and start gentle walking and to do some weights. I cannot squat, run, lunge or walk far just yet so yesterday, I did some floor exercises with a set of weights my hubby got me as a Christmas gift.

The guy in the store was dubious when my hubby said they were for a gift but I was delighted with them. It means I can exercise at home until I am back to 100% fitness.

So I got my yoga mat out yesterday and got on the floor and started doing arms exercises, ab exercises and some leg ones. I could not do very much but I did enough to build up a good sweat.

I stopped as soon as my knee started to hurt! I am not going to do anything to jeopardize my recovery after being out of action for so long! So it will be a case of slowly but surely building back up.....

But at least first one out of the way, the first one is always the hardest.

well done missus i've done some walks - no where near enough but i've started
