I got a really nice pair of soft leather gloves for Christmas.

I am wondering how to clean them? Can I wash them in warm water?

I know they cost a few quid so I am worried about ruining them so thought I'd ask for some advice before I do anything with them.

Many thanks for any tips!!

Don't take my word for this but I did once clean a leather handbag with face cleansing cream and cotton wool. I'm not sure that would be suitable for gloves though as the leather would be softer and maybe more porous.

How about using Water Wipes seen as they are just water, you cant do that much damage with them maybe?!

You cannot wash leather - you will stain it and it will go hard.

You can get leather cleaner in Homestoreandmore - works for leather couches - so I imagine it would work for leather gloves.

My aunt used to use cold cream on her leather jacket and furniture years ago.

Thanks girls, some great tips there. Think I'll call the shop where he got them and ask as I would be afraid to damage them if I did something wrong!!!

thanks a mil though
