The Road Safety Authority (RSA) and Gardai are doing alot of promotions on tyre safety and we wanted to add some details on here too. Its one of those things many of us put on the long finger but tyre safety is really important for safe driving. You only have to hit a patch of slippy road or jam on the brakes in a hurry to know how important your tyres are

And if you need your tyres checked, you can get it done for FREE at McManus tyres on the Marsh road in Drogheda or McManus tyres in Dundalk.

They supply alot of local garages, so their costs are lower than many of the garages. We were quoted 89 for tyres for our car but were able to get tyres at McManus for €50 each instead. Its kind of like going wholesale.

I havent a clue about tyres so they advised which tyre would suit us for the amount of mileage we do and then they fitted them for us. (the ones they recommended are made by Michelin but are not branded as such which is why they are coming in at only €50!! Brill!!)

I feel alot safer having my family in the car with new tyres that were properly fitted.

Cannot recommend McManus tyres enough, they are just so helpful. And its nice dealing with a woman, she is a complete expert and very knowledgeable and helpful.
