Ok I'm looking at changing the spotlights or down lighters in the kitchen that are currently 50w halogen bulbs to the led energy bulbs.... Quite expensive but wondering has anyone changed to led bulbs? This sort of ones all other bulbs in the house are energy bulbs it's just the halogen ones now need changing to more efficient energy cost saving alternative..

Ikea have them, homestoreandmore , home base etc and get get cheap ones on line but a little dubious about buying on line.

So any thoughts? Reasonably priced I've in total 24 to change....(kitchen, living room, playroom and outside)

Just looking at doing the same myself. The ones that are currently there cost a fortune as they keep blowing. I see that B&Q do multi packs of them - which seem to work out alright. They are supposed to be 85% more efficient that the old bulbs. So although expensive to buy, they should pay for themselves long term.
