In today's society there a lot of temptations out there to encourage us NOT to eat healthy. Trying to loose those few extra pounds can be a very difficult process. There is lots of exercising that can be done to help shed those unwanted pounds however with today's busy environment it is sometimes very hard to spare that precious half an hour.. :D
Some people rather exercise than diet in order to loose some weight...which are you??

As a personal trainer, the best thing to do to loose weight easily but at the same time maintaining a healthy body is the tandem of both -- proper diet and regular exercise. If you have a regular exercise but you're eating fatty foods, then it would just be a waste of time. or if you have proper diet but you do not exercise, loosing weight wouldn't be easy to attain especially if you are naturally an endomorph type or the very easy gainer.

mmm, I think both work together, and there is no way to separate Exercise and Dieting to reach max. effect. It is like equation: (you gain carbohydrate when eating) - ( carbohydrate required by the activity)= carbohydrate stored in your body.
for that it is better to focus on protein in foods. and keep stored carbohydrate to min. because it is stored like fats in our bodies.
do more sport if your activity is not enough to burn all gained carbohydrate. for example working like a secretary is not like working as a laborer.

Some of the most successful trainers, bodybuilders and fitness professionals will all tell you the same thing..health and fitness starts in the kitchen. You can have the most perfect workout/strength training regime but if your body is covered in fat, you wont see any muscle definition or the fruits of your labor.

It's 70% diet and 30% exercise...

Also to get a calorie deficit to loose weight, its far easier to cut down 250 calories a day through diet than to bust your butt for 30 mins on the elliptical trainer

A bit of both - lay off the fatty foods, increase water and fruits & veg & healthy meals and plenty of exercise.

Its about balance and being sensible (but having the odd treat, like the glass of wine and rare pack of crisps I had last night watching x-factor!)

I see people who really have it arse about face and then they wonder why they cant loose weight.... i have seen friends go all day on nothimg for then a few expressos or a green tea.

I think its all about balance and eating enough food to support your body. I still believe that the more muscle you build the more calories you burn, you can go on a diet and depress yourself but i dont think it will give you the goals you really want.
I think you really need to eat well, plenty of high protein foods, fruit and veg, plenty of water and then add in cardio and weights.
Be strong be different!
